Public Access is a partial and soft selling multi-use project space. Perhaps we can see where this is going — hopefully there is a play on Public Access TV and its historical ability to generate non-commercial content positioned toward rarified and cult values. We're seeking to enable discursive platforms through less conventionally attenuated forms. An activated space serves a point of marking exclusion and inclusion and a risk of forgetting the difference between them. As someone else once said, the object is not necessarily to make gold, but to become golden. This is, afterall, a store-front. Not quite, but a promise of fetish.
